You should be able to apply for it online kaverionline.karnataka.gov.in assuming there is no red tape post submitting the application. I have not had personal experience as yet myself of applying khata onlne.

I'm still look for help for khata transfer. It has become more complicated now since the layout got transferred to the corporation and now I'm required to get MUDA khata first before transferring to Corporation. However I have cleared all the property tax dues to MUDA.
