would be useful to people in the future: I got 70 bags at 5Rs/bag at a shop near vegetable market (just inside apmc gate) yeswanthpur.
they also cut and make rolls for pillars - thin & costs more so I picked individual bags to have some flexibility.

Fixed windows near stairs - experiences & suggestions?
Folks,
I'm planning to go for fixed windows (3'x4'6") for stairs area, basically only for light as we've plenty of other ventilation. More over, it's on a side wall so no aesthetic value.
Don't want to waste a lot on wood frames/shutters. A steel frame with grills & glass would do right? haven't ...

Walkin wardrobes (no ply wood!) - suggestions?
Folks,
Since I've a fairly big bedroom and some spare space (which I'd initially planned for home office), planning to go for walkin wardrobes instead of spending a lot on ply/regular wardrobes.
Plenty of designs available online but not sure what would work out.
Room size is 8'x8'10" with a thin ...

Re: Using solid block for internal walls and bricks for exte
Per my engineer, there're no str problems. As per quote given to me last month, good quality brick (non wirecut) vs cement block (non apco) extra cost was 32 Rs per sft for exterior walls.
Inner walls cost diff wasn't much and he was ready to absorb. I went ahead with cement blocks for all.

Occupancy cert for individual G+1- my bank wants!
Hey folks,
As per my understanding, OC is not reqd for G+1 on 30x40 - but nothing said in law. Even approval plan says you need to get it.
My deviations may not be much (e.g. 3ft instead of 3.3ft for setback, a pillar on site boundary for open parking area etc), however I'm not so keen to get it ...
