I have seen people using wood finish fiber-cement planks or jali cut fiber cement for covering up pipes.

Search for Century Zyrcon or Sherawood.

Don't go for Italian marble at all it is a porous material and needs to be filled by epoxy. Keeping in kitchen is maintenance nightmare. Try to make sure you have a window in East or west , Direct sunlight helps to keep Cockroaches in control.

Nivas how about using densifier / crustalizer such as Lithium Silicate.
Will application of lithium silicate based crustalizer help making terrace water proof ?
