Re: Query on odd dimension site

The site is protruded in the north east direction. This is considered good as per vastu. Hence the expectation of higher price by the owner and more over he may not be in a hurry. Hence quoting a higher price. South facing sites are the least preferred and hence are sold at a discount to the prevail...

Re: RMC vs site mix comparison

I thought RMC added more water as they have to pump the concrete mix. I went for site as mix we provide the materials hence have better control over the strength of the concrete. The cube test which is normally done is as per standard test conditions ( the cube is kept submerged in water until taken...

Re: [Urgent Help: ]Footing partially on solid block wall

I don't think the concrete wall is capable of withstanding the load of the building. A better option would be to dig all the way to the bottom of the sump and start the column from there. I am not a structural engineer, go with your structural engineer's advice.

Re: Borewell motor for sale

4KW power is good enough to run a 3 HP motor. I do not think it is an issue with the power supply. The issue could be with your motor itself. Have you checked the motor for ground? It is also possible the cable is damaged and causing the power to trip. Have your electrician checked the cable and mot...

Re: Krishi Honda (Water collection pit)

Are you collecting the water to be reused or for percolation? If the water is for reuse, then you can put a tank liner ( plastic sheet ) and collect water. If it is meant for percolation, you can spread some kind of net. You can stitch together vegetable bags ( tomato cheela) and use them.

Re: 30X50 East Facing House Plan for Review

By Saying NW is the accepted position for kitchen ( implying that irrespective of the facing of the site), you are making the same mistake die hard Vaastu experts do. I do not care much for vastu, put kitchen where it makes sense (one corner facing road, corner- so there is ample lighting and ventil...
