Re: RCC slab cutting
Mason or contractor whom you would select will be able to help you with that slab cutting. However, before that please take structural engineer advice. try mailing your requirement to one of the engineers whom i worked ecocon__at__gmail__dot__com. They may also suggest you the approach to take.

Re: Current market rate for plastering
Guys, Lime makes your walls breathe and reduces the formation of crack. I dont think such traditional methods can be compromised by birla. if you are spending so much lime rendering option should be considered. Dont consider this unless someone provides a strong technical viewpoint.
Re: Wood Work
I agree with tvsh. Laminates of greenply of 1mm is 1000 rs agree but if he gives you Mica or some other merino product it would be 750-800 rs. Likewise dont compromise on wood. I am sure AGP(I dont know about it ) could be good but based on my research Greenply/Kitply are standard brands.

Re: Construction Cost For Ground +3 floors
To Gatu's question. 1600 Rs/sft seems high but depends on what material and basic rate he is offering. A few things to note:
Contractor usually signs up for 3kg/sft as basic cost and coverag of steel without quoting brand etc, will just say TMT. Be clear since its G+3. Try to get your structural guy ...

Re: Which wood used to be used in olden days?
Rubber wood is another material for you to go..but if you want to stick with basics, try marine ply for kitchen to avoid issues later. I know its not what you wanted to hear but thats my view.
