Guys - Any opinion on Bhuwalka/Meenakshi steel. Both have a factory in Bangalore and a couple of folks whom I checked with are of the opinion that any ISI steel is fine. These are trading at around 50K where as Vizag/SAIL are at around 54K and Indus much higher. Any recommendations ?
Thanks

Mahendra pumps
I would need the forum's opinion on Mahendra pumps. Has anyone erected it and how is the experience so far. I was told that there are service issues with Texmo of late and Vguard is not reliable in 3 phase segment. I was advised to go either for Mahendra or CRI. This would be for 32 stages/3 phase. ...

Go for a 28 days renewal. The deposit in this case would be only 9.5 K and the total charges will be around 15-16K.

Re: submersible motor + HDPE Pipe & cablelength
Guys, I have been asked to go for "Mahendra" pump as the after sales service of Texmo is a problem of late. I also heard from a couple of my friends (who had installed Texmo) that their pumps are faulty and requires service a couple of times a year. I have to agree that a few others who had Texmo ha...

Re: Use of fliter pipes during bore well rigging
Virtual-world - I agree that the cost of the filter pipes are prohibitive but I didn't had much of a choice when I was asked to go for it. There are genuine cases where in the loose sand/silt has closed the well. In my case I was told that there is loose soil in the half way mark and hence I didn't ...

Re: Use of fliter pipes during bore well rigging
Praveen - you are right. I did the drilling and was asked to go for filter pipes. Couldn't make out whether there was silt/loose soil but didn't want to take the risk and went for the filter pipes.

Use of fliter pipes during bore well rigging
All, Recently heard quite a few incidents from my friends where in filter pipes are being used along with MS Casing and the regular PVC pipes during bore well rigging. Bore well guys attribute it to silt in the well or the lack of hard rock. Us not being in this business, it is very difficult to fig...

Re: Labour Contract for construction - Pls Help
External staircase is usually charged extra but if it is a duplex construction, then you should not be charged for staircase. Apart from it, I guess everything else looks sort of similar to other labor contract works. 210 looks to be pretty high. I guess you should not go beyond 190. 190 itself is a...
