Re: Vitrified which brand?
I had a terrible experience with Simpolo tiles. The wood polish(melamine) fell on the tiles. I believe this is fairly normal. When this polish was scraped off , a layer of the tile came of.

Re: Filling in sunken area
Thanks Praveen for your responses to mine and all other posts in this forum.
So many of us have distrust or lost faith on the construction industry in this
country. But with your posts it appears like there are still some people who
are not overridden with greed.
Can you believe it I would not ...

Filling in sunken area
What should be used in the sunken area. Options suggested are
1) cinder(spelling?)
2) Brick bats
3) Aircon blocks
What are the +ves and -ves.
My contractors preference is in the reverse order due to reasons of water proofing characteristics of the material.

Or if any is correct. but just so that others can take this precaution.
1) the oil used on the centering sheet had dried off, as there was a gap

Honeycombing, how bad is this
Attached pics from recent concreting done for Beams using Ultratech RMC.
When the contractor pulled out the side shuttering boards, you can see the results.
How bad is this, can this be fixed/rectified. What is the best solution.
Thanks,
Nura

Re: Current market rate for plastering
My contractor has been taking me for a long ride, but if it helps anyone here to feel better, here are my rates.
Ceiling plastering (lime rendered) 22.50
Internal walls plastering (lime rendered) 21.50
External wall plastering (Sponge finish) 22.50
I am guessing this includes material cost ...
