Re: 3D Software - Home design?
I did try sketchup. the samples they provide are great. but to be able to get to that level of expertise you have to go through a lot of practice. Besides, I feel the free version has limited capabilities and only when you purchase it - can you do all the fancy things.

Sorry, I could not find the trial version this time around. I did purchase it about 6-8 months back and at that time, I was able to down load a trial version. The site I went to was Chief architect, HOme design software.

Re: Couple of Clarifications.
you always have the option of RTI. follow the RTI instructions and send them your questions. they are obligated to respond within a certain time frame (although that may be outside your time requirements - you have to check that out).

Don't say they don't reclaim land. even if they have not been doing it in the past . Recent articles in the papers show that several houses have been demolished for storm water drain encroachment. so amit_pearl do your research before purchasing.

Re: Construction material prices

Re: Construction material prices
thanks, update was very quick.
I will add some items like granite etc. on that (which I have on file somewhere).
The units on some items could be confusing (what is a leyland unit for sand?) maybe I don't know enough, so it might be a silly question.
thanks though, this will be very useful.
