Re: Painted Glass in Kitchen Backsplash
For Laqured glass go for Saint Gobain. However Laqured glass is not recommended for backsplash as the area is prone for hit and laqured glass breaks /chips. There are various high end tile finishes available matching your aspirations. For kitchen cupboards if you are going for Laqured glass with any...

Re: Quartz
I have fitted Asian Granito Quartz biege white colour with glitter. The 10''x4.5'' sheet was at 350/- per sq feet. This was in March -April 2020. The lowest rate I got was at a small store on outer ring road near Kalyannager. Rates at Nannerghatta road were higer. Cutting and fixing charges range fr...

Re: Upvc windows dealers

Re: New construction
Can someone suggest main door specification??? I don’t want to go for the usual 3.5/7 feet. Wanted to get a little bigger main doors. Was thinking about 4/7.6 feet with width of 4 feet and height of 7.6 feet. My ceiling height is around 10.9 feet. I have gone for 4.5 feet x 7 feet. 54 inch width me...

Re: New construction
For ceiling height I think 10 feet is more than sufficient. Extra height means longer ceiling fan rods or heigher AC costs. Personally I never felt so called psychological impact of heigher ceiling by a foot in any house but it is individual choice. For ceiling height keep it in odd multiples of 6 i...

Re: Frustrating experience choosing solar water heater..
Thanks a lot for cost recovery perspective. As the direct sunlight on roof is only half day I am thinking of skipping the solar and just have heatpump Suppose if I go for Solar and 5 geysers assuming each geyser to be 8 to 10K rs it qill cost around 1 lakh. if I go only fot heatpump + 250 liter pres...

Re: Best Cement for Plastering - OPC 43 Grade vs PPC
Both OPc43 and PPC have less heat of hydration thus less air cracks. However it is not 0 crack thing you still need to cure the plaster well. PPC has flyash and is less affacted by chloride attacks and sulphate attacks thus better from that point of view. Disadvantage of PPC : It has blackish colour...
