Recently I got to know that from a news channel, BBMP is establishing 2 Garbage/Solid Waste management Units in Kannalli(29 Acres Area) & seegehalli( 7 Acres Area)
within this layout. These units are new one to serve the waste generated by the Bengaluru citizens and started their functioning sometime back.

Already existing such units at KCDC at Kudlugate, Terrafirma at Doddaballapura, bingipura, mavallipura...etc are giving hell a lot of
trouble for the surrounding residents & villages in terms of Stinking smell, Health issues and rash driving lorries which transports the
waste to these yards during odd hours...etc. Already many villages surrounding these units are protesting to shift it out of this area.
Some of the unlucky applicants even after paying huge amount, can become victim of these units once they get allotted in this newly formed Kempegowda Layout.

Rightly said, it will be difficult to find a buyer for the site, in BSK 6th Stage 5th Block too one SWM is built.

BBMP GARBAGE dumping in Kannahalli and Sheegehalli MSW plants are in situated between Sir M Visveswaraya Layout 6th block/close to nice road and PART of Kempegowda Layout (look for notification for these villages and Sy Nos).

Though as per the report the safe limit is 300 metres, but after 6PM where the garbage stinking is upto 5-8kms. Things will be worse and smell unbearable during rain and cold and people are already experiencing health issues.
BDA somehow wants to make money out of this layout, but BBMP somehow wants to throw garbage and wash its hands off and is not bothered since the garbage plants are out of BBMP limits.
With these units already in OPERATION and processing 600-800 tonnes per day(this is only official qty, but is much higher). From Jan2016 when other landfills closed, BBMP is dumping here and It is a big nuisance now for the nearby residents staying in Visveshwaraya Layout 4th stage, 6 th stage, Brahmadevaragutte (near Hill rock and Poddar International schools), BharathNagara BEL layout, CII, Kodigehalli, gollarahatti kannahalli, Seegehalli, Byadarahalli, Machohalli, Kadabagere, Rashi residency.

KG Layout 2nd Block and 1st Block Site Allotees be aware, you may end up breathing stench of Kannahalli Garbage processing unit.
One can feel the stench in the heart (main Road) of the Kannahalli village, One can also feel the stench around Big Shiva Temple too.
Before buying the allotted site, visit the site to make sure you do not feel the stench from the site, buy the site only if you don't feel the stench and if you feel the site is at safe distance from Garbage processing unit.
The stench is not felt from SMVL 2nd/4th/6th Blocks Sites (which are located before nice road). Infact the Garbage processing unit is far away (4/5 KMs) from this blocks.

I regularly travel on NICE ROAD and the stench is in between Manganahalli Road (SMV 4th block) and Hill-Rock School and beyond (Brahmadevaragutte & SMV 6th Block). It is unbearable during night. So have a late evening visit around 7-8 PM.
It took us a while to know the garbage dumping and stentch due to this.
On Google Maps the Kannahalli MSW- Municipal Solid Waste is not indicated, but mentioned as (Atmos Power Pvt Ltd's Site (Noble Exchange Bangaluru Pvt. Ltd.). Please look at it and the radial distances.
The KSPCB report(REIA_20062015) has also not mentioned any of the village/areas in SMV layout for legal issues, but there are other villages mentioned in it which are far compared to SMV region.
SO PLEASE INVEST CAUTIOUSLY IN BDA KEMPEGOWDA+ BBMP GARBAGE LAYOUT, where low income people would be alloted near these garbage MSW and there is a special/ Safe VIP Sites far away.

If anyone affected or feel the same, raise a complaint in http://bbmp.sahaaya.in. There is ongoing activity to strike against the dumping (1000 tons per day is not small and affects severly upto 8kms.)

Alarming & Dangerous condition due to Kannahalli SWM (Magadi Road)... Kempegowda Layout.
The BIO gas plant inside the garbage processing releases toxic and poisonous gases, the chambers are opened once in morning(7AM-10AM) and once in evening (anytime betwn 6PM -10PM). Which will cause lung cancer in near term.
The stench/ bad smell can be felt upto 8kms (upto Nagarbhavi BDA complex and Ambedkar engg college on ORR) during this time. the stench stays whole night.
Without proper assessment of the project and Improper implementation this is causing problem to thousands of people including kids, older people.
Villagers who raise the voice are threatened with non-bailable offence and forcefully garbage is dumped in these plants using police force who escort the trucks. This is gabage Goondaism from BBMP and government.(this is mockery of democracy)
Visveswaraya Layout 6th stage, Brahmadevara gutte adjacent to Hill -Rock school is most affected.
Parents whose kids study in Hill Rock National school and Poddar International school should verify if there is alarming stench during rainy / cloudy days.
