Overhead tank flooring

Post by rsk »

Hi All,

We have to decide on flooring for our overhead tank which is 7000 ltrs. Should I lay tiles on top of concreted flooring or apply epoxy coating on top of the concrete flooring? Which is better in terms of maintenance, life? Pros and cons please.

Thanks for your valuable inputs!

My advice would be to go for the tiled flooring option. While the installation would require a little more effort, it would definitely make more sense as you could utilize the surface for other purposes. You could use a roff tile adhesive to fix the tiles to the surface. I have used it in the past and have been very happy with the effects. It helps to create a water-proof and crack resistant tiled surface. Maintaining the tiles is fairly easy too. I generally simply use water and a highly-effective tile cleaner to remove any dirt or grime from the surface. Let me know if you have any further questions.
