THanks everyone for valuable input. one more query do we need to cure the granite laying like concrete slabs and concrete plaster of walls. after granite is laid how long do we need to put water on it?

Granite is laid with watery cement slurry on a raised bad of sand and cement mortar. White cement is used for slurry if you have light color stone.
After laying granite skirting is not done and gaps are not grouted for a week.
curing is done for 3-4 days by spraying water , water seeps in from sides and gaps.

I somehow feel this is purely psychological as so little witer won't make much difference in terms of curing.
