Transparent roof cover sheet

I am having outside staircase and planning to have transparent roof cover sheet instead of absetos sheets. This enables lighting and cover from rain. Can anybody tell me where it is available?

I have seen them at Corporation circle, SJP Road. You can find many big shops selling these at the Underpass, just opposite to the SP road bus stop.

The 0.5mm sheet (which is like the asbestos sheets) with 80% transparency was quoted at ~2000rs/sheet (3ftx11ft) by one of those shops on SJP road when I inquired 2 months ago. I was checking if we can use transparent polycarbonate sheets, but the shop guy was mentioning that, the sheets sold as polycarbonate sheets are just plastic sheets from China and will not last for more than 1+ summer due to the heat.
So, pl. check on the durability aspect of the sheet which you are planning to buy with someone knowledgeable.
