Need guidance on Gas pipe line to kitchen

Post by vmlrajmtrx »

I have 2 floors . So planned to keep the cylinders at ground floor under the steps and planning to go for gas pipe line from ground floor to 1st & 2nd floor kitchen. So i need clarifications before taking decision....
1. Will the LPG gas cylinder pressure is enough to travel up to second floor ? What is max distance gas piping can be done?
2. Will there be any losses in LPG gas?
3. What type of Gas piping needs to done ?
4. What would be approx price ?
5. Advantages and disadvantages of gas pipeline.
5. Any reference pls share...

I recently did the gas pipeline and share my opinion. I am not an expert

1. Will the LPG gas cylinder pressure is enough to travel up to second floor ? What is max distance gas piping can be done?

I ran up to 50 ft - Yes I ran from GND till second floor

3. What type of Gas piping needs to done ?
I used 14 gauge pipeline

4. What would be approx price ?
I was charged Rs122/sqft, negotiated a bit

5. Advantages and disadvantages of gas pipeline.
I am not aware of any disadvantages, Its good to keep the cylinder outside to avoid accidents. Need to be a bit careful to make sure it doesn't overlap any electrical connections outside while running the pipe

5. Any reference pls share...
PM me I'll share his contact

Hi,
Gas piping from ground floor to 2nd Floor is not recommended. There will be gas lose of up 2 kgs / cylinder which is 14kgs.
Its a National waste,
Please run the gas piping floor by floor.

Girish.

Hello Girish,

Thanks for very important input. Can you give more details on the topic..
Maximum how distance we can run a gas line without any gas lose?
What are the measures need to be taken for running a gas line ?

Hi,
When we take it through a long run pipe definitely there will be gas lose, To keep gas lose less then 1/2 kgs. run the horizontal pipe limited to 20 fts and vertical by 10 fts.
Make sure you have good copper piping along with a ISI valve to control it.

Girish.
