Hello Friends,

I am wondering.... , for the footing and column works which cement to use... ZUARI 53 grade or BIRLA 53 grade or any specific brand and grade.

The only difference between ZUARI 53 and BIRLA 53 is rate....

also which steel to use INDUS or SUNVIK or SK TMT or any other specific brand.

Request your suggestions/inputs at the earliest,

Regds,
Joshi

I used Birla 53 Grade for my building, it worked really well.

Also used Indus steel after quite a bit of research, indus works well for residential buildings.

I agree with vishnu , especially with cement and steel no compromises.

Hi Joshi,

For footings, columns and roofing (moulding), generally people recommend Birla super 53. I have used the same for my house. Also, for steel you can use Indus but JSW steel is better. My contractor is using Zuari only for plastering work (this will be 43 grade though)

Hope this helps

Thanks,
Karthik

Hello Vishnu/ausraja/Karthik,

Thanks much for your inputs.
I am going ahead with INDUS and BIRLA 53.

In my view any steel with ISO mark and TMT 500 will make sense. It is always how much quantity you use instead of which make to go. Regarding Cement I used Bharati 53grade opc throughout construction which was good and comes with good rate.
