I think some of this trees shed a lot of leaves and flowers depending on the season. As there are no BBMP workers cleaning the streets regularly outside the city area it can be a headache. I was told coconut tree is really bad as its roots grow really long especially towards water source damaging the sump.

I saw people cutting the coconut trees specially small site owners means less than 40x60. Reason could be old houses don't have car parking area. They build many floors and park cars outside. Coconut falls down or even small coconuts dent the car. I suggest provide ample space for car parking. If one is having plan for 4 floors there should be parking space at least to 4 cars. Better leave entire ground level for parking.
Even then coconut tree can spread it roots to cover up to 40 ft wide, which may cause damage to sumps, walls, compounds etc. I prefer going for tap root trees like sampige, halasu, honge, parijata, bukki gida, ashoka etc.
