Hi Members,

I need some information on water proof Bathroom doors. Niki has the following options.

WPVC - Particle board (pine) is glued with thin layers of PVC on both sides. Both frame and shutter are available.
Solid PVC - Made of complete solid PVC material. Neither so light nor heavy.
FRP - Fibre door from some other vendor. Looks similar like solid PVC.

Could someone provide the details on these doors?
I have read in some thread (mentioned by nivas) about wood plastic composite (wpc). Are WPC and WPVC same?
Which one is better among the above options?
Which kind of frames to be opted for the above-mentioned types of doors.

I need to decide on this at the earliest. Kindly help this new buddy.

Thanks
Karthik

Hi Karthik,

Please go with WPVC (Series GPM) for Bath Room doors, Utility and Terrace Door.
Yes you can go with both Frames as well as Shutter - They are very hard and water proof and will last long

The cost of WPVC Nikki Doors would be Rs 310 - 325 Per SQFT
The Cost of WPVC Nikki Frames would be Rs 295 per RFT

The sizes are available in 7' x 2 1/2' or 7' x 3'

Hello,

Front and backside of the doors are covered using PVC material for WPVC doors.
But what about thickness side? Especially if the wood is exposed on the bottom thickness side, water will again spoil the wood part.
How should we protect / water proof the edges?
Kindly suggest your opinion.

Thanks,
Karthik
