Generally people don't use it because it might compress and causes cracks later. I personally have never seen anyone using it.

I have constructed my entire house using Msand. Going forward , river sand will not be easily available , and construction costs will escalate multiple fold if you continue to use river sand. There are various gradings in msand , and choose the grading which you would like to use for Construction purpose. Go with Brands while using msand. Visit a factory to know more.
