Hi, I noticed that some people in the layout have received new series of property id while I still have the old property I'd (four digit) as allotted by BDA. Can someone throw some light on this? Has BBMP/BDA started changing the old IDs to new unique property id (PID) in the layout already as was advertised late last year?

Hi, I am referring to SMV BDA layout. Sorry, missed mentioning it in the post though I did post it under the right layout header. I must hasten to add that the new PIDs that were announced by BBMP/ BDA Last year were applicable to all layout items in Bangalore with the intent of weeding out illegal or "multiple" ownership and to have an unique id tag for every site in Bangalore.

I was not aware that sites in Sir M V Layout had a property id until I saw this thread. I am not sure about the significance of the property id. Do you know what it is used for? We have site numbers and Khata, which are unique numbers in theory and these are used for all official purposes such as tax payment, plan sanction, sale, etc. So is this property id, some sort of unique id assigned by the database?

I did not get a notice, however, when I checked online, my property id is in 10 digits. I have no clue what it was earlier.

Hi tvsh, unique PIDs have been in the news for a while for now as you can see in the links that I am pasting below. For the site that you have 10 digit PID, did you get the khata in the past a year or so? I tried using my old 4 digit PID to obtain the new ID but without success.

TVSH,
Can you please tell how and where you checked your property id online? The bda website for payment of taxes is non-functional at this time.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Parkom,

Thanks for the links. I received my khata many years ago, so the Khata is BDA khata. I noticed my PID at BDA online tax payment system. We can query the status of tax payment at http://ops.bdabangalore.org/bdaops/HOME.aspx

However, when I input this PID in BBMP database http://sasbbmp.com/frmQuerySearch.aspx, I get There is no record with this pid. I guess these PIDS are not updated with BBMP yet.

Thanks TVSH for the link. It appears that BDA website works only on IE and not on Firefox.
