Living room kitchen partition

Post by Yogi »

Hi,
I have an open kitchen attached to living room, which i am planning to rent out. However, i am thinking of providing a partition between the living space and the kitchen. I want to ensure the partition is such that it would not make the home smaller. Can someone please suggest the partition ideas or if they are readily available, where can I buy them?

thanks

You could
1. But a wooden partition and place it in between
2. Hang straw mat curtains, which can be rolled up when required

Hi,

A small 2.5 foot wall or a breakfast counter will be a good idea !!!

I am in exact opposite situation. We have a small kitchen which is walled to hall. I want to make it open so that hall & kitchen look large. I plan to make something like a breakfast counter.

Any suggestions what else can be done? Does it make sense to demolish the walls.....

I was in exact situation of Mahesh. I built a 3 feet height wall on one side separating the living and kitchen and on the other side I build another 3 feet wall for breakfas counter. Other people just like complete open kitchen, diniing anf living room. it all depends on the light in that area, how clean you keep your kichen :) etc
