BTW I am planning to use traditional hinges in cubbord. Would use european style hinges only in kitchen.

Appreciate your comment Namburi. I have used only BLUM for drawers and hinges. Excellent quality. I used it with good quality architect ply.

Hettich design showroom is there in Raheja Arcade, Koramangala. I guess they are equally good.

Hi,
Hettich is also a good brand, traditional hinges are good ones, the only problem with them is, you can’t fix shutter above the box. The shutter has to go in to the box or else the hinges get exposed.

Hi pradeep
Particle boards are basically wooden flakes joined with glue under heavy pressure. These are very sensitive to water and cant take any kind of load.Usually the life span of these boards are max 10-15 years if used very very carefully.
The biggest problem with these are lack of screw holding ,once you fix a screw it cant be re fixed in case it gives away. These are used in all modular furniture's.

My carpentar is insisting that Ebco hinges are better than Hettich. Is that so ( Ebco hinges probably is more expensive, but are they better?).
