Is there a meaning of high or low for a bribe ?
I feel there is no need to pay any bribe, if you have patience & ready to put your genuine effort & follow up.
if you are looking for a short cut/quick solution, you follow the way of bribing.

Ganesh,

Ok, if you still want to follow the bribe way then it can not be more than 45 to 50k.
i heard from one of my a know person that, he doesn't have betterment paid receipt which is a must for plan approval then they have asked 1 lakh for approval for a 40x60. but if you don't have betterment receipt and you try to bribe and somehow get the plan then it is not a valid plan.
just cross check is this your case?

Apply through RTI to get the official status of your application.
Escalate it to higher level or complain to ACB/Lokayukta.

There are many success stories of Gandhigiri by the ordinary people for getting their things done without paying any bribe for the dirty tricks of the BBMP Lower rank staffs.

Nowadays, you even have the simple & powerful tool to write these kind of public grievances to our Honorable Prime Minister Online, these issues will be redirected to the Chief Secretary of the State to close the issue & give the report to PMO. More importance will be given to the cases of Corruption/Bribe more attention will be given.

It is a very old property, betterment is paid, registered right at the time BDA was formed.
