Registration of loan documents

Hi,

Can someone let me know the details about registering the home loan documents by paygin x% stamp duty. I've not heard of this. Is it the same as registering "mortgage deed "? What is the applicable stamp duty in Karnataka? Any more details would help me as well.

I had recently taken a loan from HDFC and they charged me 0.1% of sanctioned loan amount as MOD charges. This amount is paid as stamp duty to Govt. of Karnataka. Was this your query or have I answered something different?

Thank you. Yes, I was looking for this information. There is not much on the web. Also, home loan guy told me it was 1%. Yesterday confirmed with him again, it is actually 0.1%.

I'd like to know if there will be any entry in EC once it is registered with registration office.
