SC/ST Land - BMRDA Sites

If the layout is approved by BMRDA then is it true that the land doesn't belong to SC/ST people?

cannot say for sure... BDA, BMRDA, just checks at the layout plans and approves it provided it clears certain conditions and has NOCs from certain department. But it does not go into the details of the land like existing litigations, share of minors, sc/st land etc.. For eg:, there are some apartments which are bda approved but still has cases pending according to ptcl act (sc/st land issue). get it cheked by a competent lawyer

Thanks for the reply Kalidas.....Is there any centralized location where we can get all the details like

1. it is a SC/ST land
2. has any litigations etc... about the land?

in order to check those details you need to go for digging the land records of as back as 1960. There are many lands around bangalore, which are given by the Government for the SC/SC or minorities during 1960-1975 for agricultural purpose. Most of these documents will be handwritten one. You need to check out any specific clauses were there in those land record transactions which could apply for future deals. You need to take an expert advocates assistance to verify those things.
