1) How to check the purity of sand.

2) If the filtered-sand is used in the foundation (piller mode) what would be the life/fate of the building.

What is updated Cement prices, as they have come down.
Say bulk price (70-100bags) for ACC/UltraTech/Priya/Cormandal/others.

Thru contractor I am getting cement bag in range of Rs 200 - 230;
Whereas RCC for RMC from companies around Marathahalli was Rs 2700-2900 per cubic mtr.

Hi,

Could someone post the typical prices of wire-cut bricks. My contractor is quoting Rs. 14 per brick. I checked prices in one shop - they had two varieties - Rs. 8 per brick and Rs. 9 per brick. Size is standard 9"x4.5". How can I verify if the quality of brick is worth the price quoted.
