Vajra , Cutoms differ but normally the bhoomi pooja stone is laid near the vasekal of the front door of the house where you dont stamp on it otherwise anywhere on the SS masonary below the plinth beam should be okay.

Thanks Ausraja.

Friends,
Wanted to know, if 1.5 feet height from the ground is good enough for foundation.

Vajra

Are you talking about finished floor level? Usually it depends on the condition of the road and area. I have seen it to be 2.5 feet and 1.5 feet in parking. and these are measured from road level not the ground level at the site. For my construction we are going with 1.5 feet for parking, 3 feet for living, 3.5 feet for dining, kitchen etc.

Dear friends,

Need your advise on two doubts I have at this stage (My house plinth is completed just now)

1) Rain water harvesting - is it suggestible to use this for toilets, house cleaning, car wash etc; OR for regular use for bathing, face wash etc.
Also, is the maintenance of rain water harvesting very painful.

2) car park of 15.7 ft(Length) 10 ft wide - Is it good enough

--------> You can definately use it for washing purpose as well, to be safe use one full RO in house.

2) car park of 15.7 ft(Length) 10 ft wide - Is it good enough

--------> For double Car, this wont be sufficient. For single car, it is more than enough

Rain water can be used like any other water (borewell/Cauvery) provided.
a. If you keep your terrace clean.
b. Filters must be used

It is much cleaner than other water.

Hi Vajra,

For Car parking, the Width should be 15 Feet & Length should be 17 Feet (Ideal for Fortuner/Innova kind of SUV) for 2 Cars.
Ensure that Gates should be open Outside as well Inside.
