I had been to 5th G block today. Saw some work going on with Namma Metro board around it. It was near to some quarry. Checked with a local RE agent who told that the Metro station is coming up there. The track will be above ground along the main road. Not sure though since the width of the road seemed inadequate for a Metro track.

Whitefield, Mahadevapura side, already Phase II work or identification is started. Seen the Metro barricades showing that the Geo-Technical Investigations are being done in that area (as per the metro Phase II Map).

So if you seen any particular barricades indicating that it is for Metro, it is be reliable.

The work in 5th G block , AFAIK , is not Metro Station or anything. There are two quarries which have stopped and the debris from the metro work in other places ( like underground tunnels ) are supposed to be filled in these quarries. I had talked to one of the quarry owner there and he gave me this info. Since day and night trucks comes and fill these quarries, there is a Metro Board placed there. Yes , its related to Metro but not really metro station or anything.

Agents are Agents ...look for every reason to jack the price..!!!!
