Last week when I enquirer in kr market, sintex double layer was 6.75

Sintex uses low density raw material (LDPE) and roto mould technology where it takes 2 hrs to mould one tank whereas the other technology is blow mould using HDPE taking 15 mts to mould one tank.White color is better since it will reflect sun light to some extent during summer.Moreover in black they use recycled raw material upto 15 percent where as it will be virgin raw material in other color.You can go any color with white coating inside also.Ganga triple layer will be around Rs 5.75 per ltr..Locate a dealer nearby your house so that delivery is free.Ganga and Vectus are same.

Further ganga gives you 20 yrs guarantee (not warranty) using HDPE tech...

I am getting a quote of kaveri triple layer Rs. 6/litre (all incl. vat and transport)
Kaveri Double layer: 5.4 Rs/ litre
Sintex double layer black Rs 7/litre
Sintex triple layer white Rs 9.5/litre
Planning to go for Kavery triple layer black. We have one 2000 Litres tank at 7 feet height above terrace and two 1000 litres tanks.

best not to go for white tank - since algae will form when light filters through (I learned it when researching for my rain water barrel - I was told if you get a white barrel paint it).

got a kaveri triple layer at rs. 6 per liter. transportation extra (incl. vat)
inside is blue - is this the right color for a triple layer? and how to verify it is really a triple layer tank?

tendlu you can check the triple layer by looking through the inlet duct near the top end. u can see three layers one is black then a middle layer mostly blue then a interior layer of white

Deepika Rotomoulders Pvt. Ltd. is the main dealer/supplier of kaveri in bangalore (i believe) and they can give you a dealer in your area.
