How much does a over head tank of 2000 lts cost.I got a quote of 14,000. Is it high or low,brand also not mentioned in the quote.

Which are good brands sintex,Kaveri,hitank etc..

Over head tanks come in various types go for triple layer. Sintex and Kaveri are equally good. Sintex might be slightly costly. Check out warranty (Ideally 10 years).

Preferred one is 3 layered Tank.

Based on the Brands and Capacity/Model, cost varies from Rs. 4.50/ltr to 7.0/ltr. Tax,Transportation, plumbing & Installation are Extra. This is based on my experience of 6 months back. Now, there could be slight variation in price on either side.

I purchased Sintex triple layer @ 8.50 including VAT & Transportation just Y'day. Do pm me if you would like to have the dealer details...Good luck..!!

My plumber suggested to go with Black sintex 1000 ltrs two Nos & one 500 Ltrs. What is the background on Double layer & Triple layer. How much will be the cost difference per litre?

Paid 5.25/ltr for Kaveri triple layer tank, black color. Transportation extra.

please don't go for small ones ,as i have fitted in my current home. I find the pressure will become so low when water from small tank start flowing below. I have one 1000 litres ,and two 500 litres and whenever water is there in 1000 litres i will get good pressure ,i am not getting the pressure.

I enquired and there is no difference in price locally and market for sintex or Kaveri overhead tanks. so no point of taking from there market as additional transportation adds to it.
Is anybody has the any inputs on getting price reduced as i got 5.7 for Kaveri triple layer and 6.30 for sintex VAT and transporation extra.

@Sholla: Can you share wehre did you got Kaveri at 5.25.

I'm getting black kaveri 1000L x 2 nos. for 4.6 Rs/Ltrs. (Double layer).
Do anyone have quote for sintex black (Double layer) price.

i got offer for Ganga at 4.8 triple layer where they are giving 20 years guranty. Please do share anybody has used Ganga brand ,as i heard it is catching up the market .
