I checked with three places:

2. Hemadri ceramics on Hosur road
3. Srinath sanitaryware in Rajaji Nagar (www.srinathsw.com)

Srinath gave the best discount (approx 11% on MRP). Johnson gave 7% and Hemadri gave 3% or so.

Granite laying has been done and PoP poured on it (no newspapers). Joints have come out well. i.e., not very obvious. I hope the workers do not damage the granite with their carelessness while shifting materials.

I have purchased 2x7 granite slabs. Layer says he can lay 2x7 slabs and thus reduce the number of joints (as against 2 slabs of 2x3.5). Is there any disadvantage in using larger slabs for laying? does it increase scope for air gaps below the slabs and cause problems long-term?

Could someone post the typical prices of wire-cut bricks. My contractor is quoting Rs. 14 per brick. I checked prices in one shop - they had two varieties - Rs. 8 per brick and Rs. 9 per brick. Size is standard 9"x4.5". How can I verify if the quality of brick is worth the price quoted.
