Today's steel price - 46K. For 10 T minumum it would be 45.8K. I am referring to 500 grade only. Hence, prime gold is still quoting more.

45.8 is the SPOT rate - all inclusive. Transport will always be extra. When buying steel, it is important to consider the accuracy of the weighing scales. On a scale of 1000 KGs, even if there is a error of 1%, you will loose 10KGs, which costs 460 Rs.

I buy it from jayanagar south end - manju - 9886053033

45.8 is indeed a very low price as I took delivery of Chamundi steel for 47400 per tonne all inclusive today (4.5 tonnes). I was told by the dealer that the prices will go up once the diesel prices are increased.

If my memory is correct,,,chamundi is FE415, which is re-rolled. Any FE500 grade is ore grade TMT. Be careful the next time.

@m3_07, please let me know how do I find out the market steel price?

I ordered from retail guy today (del. on Monday), since i wasn't able to find the partners and also foundation digging completed quicker than i was expected.
Retail guy mentioned price was 48,500, I had called Prime TMT company guy earlier and found their price was 46,500. I nego. for 47,300 with retail guy. This is for FE500 Prime Gold TMT.
May be for the next order/batch, i can join someone/group to make bulk purchase

Also steel price is coming down
Further Rs 500-1000/t risk to Indian steel prices

One more thing i learnt today on ensuring quantity of steel purchase,
Take the loaded truck to weigh bridge, note down the weight
unload the truck, weigh it again, difference is the purchase weight
Cost rs. 30/- for weighing one time and Rs 50/- for two times

Do not go by weighing machine retailer/dealers have in this shop, they do say that you can stand on it and it will show your weight correctly.
I felt something is goofy when I asked one dealer that whether he also do weigh bridge, but he kept changing the topic.
