Can someone give me the current Stamp Duty and Registration charges for Karnataka which is effective from 1st April 2012.

While searching online, I got two different values. Few websites says it is 5.6% + 1 %, of the Sale Deed Value.
Whereas, few other sites says 5% + 1 %.

Its 5% + 1%. Karnataka government has given a discount of 1% last year.

It was 5.6% + 1 % a few months back.

It is 5.6% + 1%.
Also from October there will be 1% TDS has to be deposited by the buyer and the sale value should be adjusted accordingly. It will be sellers responsibility to claim the tax back based on actual usage of the sale consideration.
