Roof top garden

Hi all,

I have a 9 by 12 low roof at the 1st floor which i want to have as a small garden,
what are all needs to be done for a garden at the roof level...
(esp ...water proofing )

If there is any link or stepby step guide plz share...

there are many forums and blogs that help with roof top garden (or terrace garden). But before you start anything, make sure your roof is designed for the load (the planters and the soil all add a lot of weight to the structure).
