Hi Experts,
In Plastering of my house, contractors has insisted to use sponge to create impression on wall outside. This is resulting in small box kind of impression on wall created using sponge.
Is this fine? has it got any draw back?
Contractor says it look nice and not issue by doing so, in it true?
Please help me at the earliest.

Hi,
Using sponge creating impressions doesn't give richness.More the smoother is more richer.Masons use various methods to cover up their workmanship.
Rough sponge finish is a very regular followed method.
Any kind of patches in the plastering are not visible before paints ,they become very obvious patches once painted .Even 10 coats of paint cannot cover it.Make sure plastering is started from top and finished to bottom end line & no further patches in elevation.

@Praveen,
I could not understand the term "patches in plastering". Isn't it that the
plastering should be done continuously ? So, when are these patches
formed ? Also can you please explain "no further patches in elevation" ?
thanks
