I recently got borewell drilled in my site, but could not find water source even after going beyond 1100 ft, hence stopped the drilling.
Before drilling borewell, I got the site verified by two people, a geologist (who brought a copper wire and compass) and another water diviner (who brought a coconut and dry stick).
Both showed different points, within a distance of 2 feet. I finally went with geologist, thinking that he might be more scientifically correct and also both points were close enough. (many people suggested to go with geologist too).
But could not trace water even after crossing 1050 ft, though the estimated depth was 650-700 ft.
Now I need suggestion of below points:
1. The borewell vendor told that there is little water (1 inch) and the same will percolate and collect after some time. Due to dust and heat generated by the driller, it is currently evaporated.
So he suggested to wait for some days and then re-check. Is this a fact or just a hoax ? Because I wish to spend on motor now only if there is water.
2. When I contacted the geologist about the situation, he suggested camera scan-blast method. Where in, water source is checked by doing a camera scan and water can be collected by doing a blast!
Dont know what exactly he meant. I personally dont want to go ahead with this, as I dont want to take risk anymore on spending money based on probabilities. Anyone have experience regarding this ?
3. Though this is not relevant question now, whether the method followed by water diviners scientific ? By just a copper wire or a coconut, is it possible to trace water which is below 1000 ft ?
Anyone knows more about this ?
If nothing works, I am planning to convert it to rain water harvest point.
