I encountered a Black Cobra during my visit to SMV Layout.

Hi guys,

During my last visit to SMV layout, I encountered a long Black Cobra snake. As I have respect for these species after watching them in ANIMAL PLANNET channel, I missed taking its pictures as it came right in front of my car's path near 5th Block. It slipped into the bushes very fast before I could go close to it for better view and take pictures.

I heard from some brokers that spotting a snake is lucky. Well, even though we don't believe in such things, I guess its somewhat lucky to spot a snake before you buy / sell a plot in such areas. My agent who was in the other car missed seeing the snake. But he ran like made to see it when I told him. I asked him why he was so inquisitive to see a snake, he said its lucky in their religion to spot a snake for GOOD LUCK.

So, do u all think its true? Please share your views, if any.

Spotting a poisonous snake such as Black Cobra is good luck as it gives us a chance to take precaution and avoid getting bitten by one.

Dear Taj, it is very much true that spotting snake is really get you good luck , wealth health and what not. In fact i know many snake charmers who chose that profession only to get millions of $$$. Still they continue in that profession even after getting millions just because they want to make millions for their next-gen like our politicians. I would suggest you to get a real cobra or may be anaconda(i don't know if it is available in Bangalore, i heard that Reddy brothers got one, you can rent from them). Feed it with milk and butter , you will get 50*80 plot every day freely in HSR layout.

If such belief's are true, by this time, SNAKE SHYAM (Mysore) was supposed to be in the world's top 10 Billionaire's list, instead of riding Auto Rickshaw(that also sponsored by an MLA for his social charity work) for transporting the school children for his daily bread and butter.

Stop such illogical & hypothetical things in life. Think better and do good works.

hahahaha....funny comments and responses! I like it though. It was just what I had to share from my experience during my last visit to SMV layout. Its just a word of caution, in case you guys wish to venture out to jungle layouts with trees and bushes. These could be a hidden dwelling places to venomous reptiles. Be careful!
