How to take Measurement to pay Conttractor?

Post by Dreamhome »

Hi Expert,

How will be the measurement taken to calculate amount while paying contractor based on builtup area?

Will the include staircase, sajja (build for storage in room) and above windows, extension of roof futher to wall( Say for protect against rain) in calculation?

Please guide me in this regards how to take measurement?

I do not want to get looted from contractor by his calcualtion of sqft measurement and amount calculation.

Regards,

yes you are correct. The plinth area should be measured as per Revelent IS Code. Ie. outer to outer of wall ( not slab). It is tricky market no specific guidance is arrived for measuring at professional level. Better arrive the quantity to be executed to the specified plan . you will arrive 100% perfect price for labour a well as labour and negotiate with the contractor. I have seen in this form most of the members negotiating pricing with out actual pricing or value of work excuted.
