Bathroom doors/cabinets
Re: Bathroom doors/cabinets
As I was also interested in this, I looked up PVC doors in two
houses. The door looks OK and is very light. However the frame which
was also of PVC looked very flimsy. In fact, it was not a frame but a PVC
bracket. Owner told me the approx. cost of the door+frame was Rs.3000.
Another person told me that since bathroom doors will see constant usage,
if the screws come loose then there is no easy way to repair. I do not know
how true this is, anybody who has actually installed such doors can comment
on that.
Nikki show room on Bannerghatta road did not carry any such doors though
their website mentions it. Apparently there are many local suppliers..

Re: Bathroom doors/cabinets
Hi guys
You can use either sintex doors (looks cheap ) or use any branded masonite skin doors (nikki, kutty, duro etc.. brands)."Masonite Door Skins are door skins made from phenolic resin bonded genuine tropical hardwood. These Masonite Skin Sandwitch Doors are resistant to boiling water. The Masonite Skin Sandwitch Doors also exhibit resistance to fungus."
You also use regular flush doors with a plastic sheet (flat one not rolled plastic sheet) can be fixed using copper screws on the back side of the door .This will give enough protection for a long time.
