Which area of Bangalore does not have Water Problem? North or South or East or West?
Or any particular Localities?
I want to buy a house in that area which has no water problem and has good ground water at reasonable depth of less than 100 or 150 Feet below ground level.
Bangalore seem to have been hit by water crises. Most of the areas do not have Corporation or Cuvery water, I understand that people are depending on Borewell water or Tanker Water. I even heard that some people are digging borewells below 2000 Feet but no water and the wells too are quickly drying up after so many years of heavy utilization without recharging through practices like water harvesting etc.
Is there any area in Bangalore that has abundant water, where I could consider buying a House?
Why are the Real Estate prices in Bangalore so High without having the basic amenity "the water"?

Re: Which area of Bangalore does not have Water Problem
High profiles areas will be supplied water because of political pressure & high rise luxurious apartments will get water thru money power.

Ground water level depends on the water bodies nearby which recharges back. Hence areas very near to any lake will have better ground water level. But the quality of water is not guaranteed, as over a period of time, BWSSB or the layout people divert their sanitary water to the lake via Raja kaluve's.
Secondly the groundwater level will be better where only few houses are there and abundant of vacant land. Over a period of time, as these the vacants lands fills up with houses-apartments( Many borewells comes up in the area), ground water level automatically depletes and it will be only seasonal(Available between June and December). Currently in some areas of SMV Layout and Nagarabhavi people are geting water at around 100 - 150 ft depth. Even though today if you get water at few feets depth, tomorrow or future will not be the same case.
Earlier in Bangalore north area like Banaswadi, kalyan nagar, sahakar nagar...etc water was available at few 100 fts depth. After rapid expansion of the area, 100s of apartment came up surrounding this area, now the average borewell depth is 1000ft and after January it gets dried out.
Wherever community people have adapted the Rainwater harvesting(not just individuals, the entire colony), result is good like Ranka layout. Earlier there was no water after December month here. from the lat two years, community people took an effort to arrest the rainwater at every possible area in their layout. Now they're enjoying borewell water even in April-May.
