Ashirwad or Astral CPVC pipes

Hi Experts,

had been to chabbria bathroom fittings and by architect is suggesting to get all plumbing work material from there as they provide good discount.

Flowgaurd pipe they will provide is Astral and my architect says its good. Please suggest me Astral matched with Ashirwad?

Did you go to the chabria shop in Jayanagar (ashoka pillar) or the one in
the SJP Road ? Do they deliver at the site after payment ?

Ashirwad is what i used for my home. My plumber told it is the best. Astral is a cheaper option.

Thanks for your reply. I enquired 5 to 6 stall near by my home, all shoppers say both are of same quality you can go for either.
Any further suggestion on same? Please revert at the earliest since I'm about to get product by tomorrow.

Ashirvad is the most popular brand. I still suggest Ashirad for CPVC and Supreme for PVC.

Ashirvad has two variants in CPVC - Class 1 & Class 2 pipes. The price difference is about Rs.25 per lenght.
Supreme PVC pipes has variant called 'supra' which is bit cheaper than "Supreme PVC". Even this has price difference. There is a local brand called Supreme Gold, which the hardware shops sell saying it is of original Supereme company. You can get duped as the seller may give Class 2 pipes and charge for Class1.

If you are going for Astral, look into these details as they may also have variants.

I heard PVC is not suited for Hot water supply ,so if you have solar heater then whole length from terrace to bathrooms should be with G.I Pipe.s

My engineer is insisting that G.I. pipe be used for all the plumbing which
will be concealed in the walls. For the external portion from the bathrooms to
the overhead tank CPVC be used. These external plumbing pipes will be fixed
with clamps to the walls.

GI Pipes are no where found these days. They are prone to leakages as the joints are threaded, just like your bottle cap.

I have used of Supreme brand and bought them from Mahehsh Pipes, SJP road.

@tech4pk What is discount Mahesh pipes gave as he told it will be around 30%?

As mentioned Astral is cheaper as compared to prime as there is price difference of around 2500 Rs in total between both supreme and astral.
